»venture» 2015 is an initiative of the ETH Zurich, Knecht Holding, the innovation promotion agency CTI and McKinsey & Company, Switzerland. The leading Swiss-wide start-up competition supports young entrepreneurs in founding a company. »venture» 2015 – like previous »venture» editions – aims to put to use untapped innovation potential by encouraging young entrepreneurs to develop a business idea into a start-up company. A number of renowned companies from Swiss industry and commerce sponsor the competition.

We believe that becoming an entrepreneur shouldn't depend on gender. Unfortunately there are still very few women founding high-growth companies. Aspire wants to change that. To inspire and foster female entrepreneurship Aspire was founded in January 2014 in Switzerland. Aspire is a non-profit association that offers programs, events and a network for successful and aspiring female entrepreneurs.

This group is envisioned to be different. They look forward to having the group members interact not just on a virtual basis but in real. Curious Courses provides short taster courses on different subjects encouraging you to be curious and learn new things. A wide range of subjects are covered with past courses including hobby related topics such as photography, creative writing, food and wine and business topics such as social media, presenting and much much more.”
The courses are conducted in English, you get to meet an expert on the subject and ask questions in an interactive environment.
It is a great way to see if the subject is something for you before delving in deeper and to meet and network with like minded people.

For 11 weeks selected founders and their teams live and work in Switzerland (in Zurich or Basel, depending on the vertical you’re applying for). We provide founders with up to CHF 15’000 seed funding per startup and a chance to get an additional grant of up to CHF 25’000, top mentoring, a shared office space and fast-track access to relevant industry partners and the Swiss startup ecosystem.
