David shares how growing up on a farm in South Africa has shaped him to appreciate life and drives his passion today. He also shares how we can profitably and sustainably use technology to do massive good in the world.

About David Wood

David Wood has an education and background in investment banking and has worked in the IT and derivatives space for organisations such as Goldman Sachs, Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC and the like both in South Africa and London.

He has founded a number of successful companies that combine Finance and Technology.

Having grown up on a farm in Africa he has an understanding and affinity for its spaces and animals and has contributed substantially to utilizing tech and data analytics in conservation. One of his projects house the most comprehensive set of leopard data ever collected. Increasingly he has turned his focus toward addressing the critical conservation issues facing Africa and is excited about recent technological advances and believes that the skillful and innovative use of this technology can help face these issues.

David is founder and CEO of a new blockchain based smart contract impact funding platform called Wadappt.
